What to Pack for Your Ski Lessons in Zermatt

🏔️ Be Ready for the Mountain — Not Just the Snow

Packing for ski lessons isn’t like packing for a resort stroll. You’ll be outside in alpine weather, moving all day, and balancing comfort with function.

Here’s our ultimate checklist to help you feel prepared, warm, and confident — whether it’s your first time or just your first time with us.

🎿 The Must-Haves (For Everyone)

Helmet – Mandatory for all Connect lessons (kids and adults). Available to rent if you don’t own one.
Goggles – Essential for snowy or sunny days. Sunglasses won’t cut it once you’re moving fast.
Gloves or Mittens – Waterproof, insulated, and ideally wrist-length. Bring spares for kids!
Lift Pass – Must be valid and ready before your lesson starts. Ask us if you’re unsure which one you need.
Phone – Fully charged, in a zipped pocket.
Ski Socks – One good pair. No layering!
Neckwarmer / Buff – For wind protection and warmth.
Snacks – Optional but smart. A granola bar or trail mix goes a long way.
Water Bottle – Hydration matters more than you think.
Insurance Card or Copy – Make sure you're covered for skiing (especially off-piste).

👕 Clothing Layers

Dress for a mix of temperatures — warm mornings, colder lift rides, and changing weather. Think:

  • Base layer (top & bottom): Moisture-wicking thermal

  • Mid layer: Fleece or softshell

  • Outer layer: Waterproof, windproof jacket and pants

💡 Pro Tip: Avoid cotton — it gets wet and cold fast.

🧒 Kids-Specific Items

  • Extra gloves or mittens (trust us)

  • Goggles that fit the helmet snugly

  • Lift pass secured with a lanyard or sleeve

  • Pocket snack (small and easy to unwrap)

  • Labelled gear — especially gloves and helmets
