How We Match You with the Right Instructor

🧭 Why Matching Matters

Ski lessons are about more than just technique. The relationship between you and your instructor can completely shape your experience — especially in private lessons, or for kids and beginners.

At Connect, we don’t just assign you the next name on the rota. We match you with the right person for your level, personality, learning style, and goals.

Here’s how we do it.

🧑‍🎓 1. We Start With You

When you book, we ask:

  • Your ski experience and comfort level

  • Your lesson goals (e.g. “get back into it,” “explore off-piste,” “fine-tune short turns”)

  • Who’s in the group (ages, relationships, confidence levels)

  • Language preferences

  • Any special considerations (anxiety, past injuries, learning differences)

This helps us understand the learner, not just the level.

👨‍🏫 2. We Know Our Team Inside-Out

We’re a small, values-led ski school — and we know each instructor well. That means we can pair people not just by certification, but by personality and communication style.

We know:

  • Who’s great with nervous adults

  • Who thrives with teens

  • Who loves fast-paced, technical feedback

  • Who brings calm and clarity to the lesson

  • Who’s fluent in which languages

🤝 3. It’s a Human Process — Not a Spreadsheet

We don’t use auto-allocation tools or block scheduling. We take time to make a thoughtful match. And we talk to our instructors about the upcoming guest before the lesson begins.

💬 Real Examples

“Our son is shy — but his instructor made him laugh within five minutes. He couldn’t wait to go back the next day.”
“My instructor immediately understood what I needed — not just technically, but in terms of confidence.”
“It felt like I was skiing with a friend who just happened to be a brilliant teacher.”

🔁 4. Want to Request Someone Again?

We love building relationships. If you've skied with us before and want the same instructor — just let us know. If they’re available, they’re yours.
